Our story
Bringing home to Wausau
Every dish on this menu carries Sanju’s family recipes a long way from home.
Mountain Taste started with a simple idea: bring the real, traditional flavors of Nepal and India, the kind Sanju grew up cooking at home, for family, to the Wausau community. Every recipe on this menu has been in her family for years, made the same way it’s always been: slow, spiced by hand, and meant to be shared.
Sanju runs Mountain Taste on her own, cooking every dish herself. The truck is parked at her husband Raj’s gas station, where he runs his own business right alongside hers: married partners, two operations, one family. That’s the spirit behind every plate that comes off the truck, food as a welcome, not just a transaction. Whether it’s your first bite of momo or your fiftieth, we want it to feel like you’re eating at her table.
